The Provincial and Federal governments have provided insufficient opportunities for public feedback to Plutonic Power Corps proposed series of 17 river diversions at Bute Inlet. Public meetings were held only in Sechelt, Powell River, and Campbell River, despite hundreds of people writing the provincial government to ask for public meetings to also be held in Vancouver and Victoria. The government does not consider people residing in Vancouver and Victoria to be directly affected by the project. Nonetheless, this project is larger than Site C, poses many environmental risks, and people want their say! A project of this size is of interest to the whole province. To provide more information and opportunities for public feedback, Watershed Watch, in partnership with BC Creek Protection Society, Wilderness Committee, Save Our Rivers and Raincoast Conservation, is holding public meetings in Vancouver and Victoria.

Speakers from Watershed Watch and Wilderness Committee will describe the project and the issues, and answer questions. Rafe Mair from Save our Rivers Society will also speak at the Vancouver venue. Information displays will be on hand and there will be an opportunity to provide written feedback to government.
